- The conventional bolt calculation according to VDI2230 is usually very complex. In practice we have to consider many conditions which cannot be considered completely in the conventional calculation according to VDI2230 or make the calculation very complex and error-prone.
- Meshparts gives us the possibility to define larger assemblies with many screws and contact conditions as FEM models with a reasonable effort and to analyze several load cases comprehensively.
- Particularly successful is the fast definition or replacement of screws available in CAD with predefined FEM screws from the Meshparts library and the comprehensive static and dynamic screw evaluation.
- One of the highlights is the dynamic bolt evaluation under consideration of VDI2230, where the dynamic strength can be evaluated not only against the unloaded prestressing state, but also against any other load case.
