Optimization of the clamping pressures

When designing clamping devices, the question of deformations at different clamping pressures is often relevant. By simulating the clamping device in the concept phase, the deformations can be determined and optimized accordingly in terms of design.

This contribution shows how the simulation model is built by using library parts in Meshparts. The clamping pressures are varied accordingly so that the deformation of the part becomes minimal. The maximum deformation could thus be reduced by 28% - with the same total clamping force.
